SoftBank Expands $40 Billion OpenAI Equity Loan with Addition of 21 Lenders Sharing $7 Billion Quota
SoftBank has initiated a large-scale distribution of its $4 billion bridge loan for investment in OpenAI equity, with the addition of 21 financial institutions sharing approximately $7 billion in quota. The Abu Dhabi First Bank, Singapore Government Investment Corporation, and Standard Chartered each have loans of nearly $1 billion, with the remainder held by banks in Europe, Japan, and Taiwan. The remaining $33 billion is still held by lead arrangers, and further distribution may follow.
